The Eighth Man is pleased to announce two new additions to our staff as well as a list of volunteer openings.

Mike Madonna of the University of Maryland has assumed the role of social media editor. As social media editor for the Maryland team, Madonna built a reputation for being a prolific and oftentimes tendentious presence online.

“Madonna’s social media skills are a big addition to our team,” said The Eighth Man Managerial Editor Tyler Walker. “His work in the past year has brought a lot of attention to whatever organization or stance he is promoting. We look forward to him creating a more active social presence for The Eighth Man.”

Jayke Archibald of Quidditch Club Boston has also joined the staff as a Northeast correspondent. Archibald worked alongside The Eighth Man Editor-in-Chief Amanda Dallas when the two were members of the IQA (now USQ) editorial team.

“I’m very excited to be working with Archibald once again,” Dallas said. “He was a standout on IQA editorial, consistently meeting deadlines and going above and beyond with his work.”

The Eighth Man plans to continue its growth and remains in search of qualified and enthusiastic candidates to join our staff.

Open positions range from advertising director and video coordinator to correspondent and copy editor. If you are interested in joining our team, fill out the preliminary application, and, if we would like to further pursue your application, we will be in touch.

We thank you for your continued readership. Our goal is to provide you with timely, in-depth analysis of the sport, and we hope to continue satisfying readers for years to come.
